Volume 1 (Digital File)

What's Inside The Book?
• 50 multi-puzzle monoalphabetic substitution ciphers
• puzzles include anagrams and pattern-based letter scrambling (Inspired by the mechanics of the famous enigma machine from WWII)
• hints for solving anagrams are included
• each puzzle helps to form the decryption key
• five difficulty levels, each with clear instructions (10 ciphers per level)
• Full solutions included at the back of the book
Inspired by 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Simon Singh's "The Cracking Code Book", the fun of this book lies in solving each cryptographic puzzle, piecing together the decryption key, and, if successful, using it to decipher the 50 seemingly nonsensical jumbles of letters into recognizable text, each revealing a curious and little-known word.
The definitions are corny but accurate. At least according to Google.
This book is absolutely for geeks—for Lovers of a certain heiress who spends her fortune raiding tombs across the globe, or a loveable thief who relies on the funding of his older mentor to basically do the same. Except that the only treasure I have to offer here is linguistic... sorry, but I couldn't afford the gold.
If those references went straight over your head, don't worry. This book is full of multi-tiered puzzles and code-breaking opportunities, so if you love problem-solving, you are bound to have a great time regardless!
